About 3 years ago we built a solar power trailer for shows and events, and it
had a fold-out 1 kW array, eight L-16 batteries, MX60 charge controller, and a
Statpower 1500 Prowatt modified sinewave inverter. This inverter never worked
right from day one and would act like the battery was low and shut down when we
had tons of battery charge. As soon as we un-loaded the inverter, all the LED's
would be back in green like everything was just fine.

We finally got tired of the hassle and replaced it with an Outback FX2524 and
no more problems. This beast keeps working even at the end of the night when
batteries are tapped out.

We also installed a StatPower Prosine 1800 watt true sinewave inverter in our
diesel truck about 6 years ago and have had no problem with it, but it is only
used occasionally on a job site to power some batterypack chargers for power
tools.
