The pole mount system was an add to expand the existing solar capacity. The pole was the "normal" height that should have been used, but because the ground was so steep then flatten out right at the location which allowed a lower corner to be closer to the ground. There was problems with black bear scratching themselves on the array corner. The tilt was changed to get the array higher off the ground. Since the system was in a remote part of Idaho, bears are not uncommon in the area. After that we now check the average height the local bears can reach before designing a pole mounted array system in a remote area! Jeff Yago ________________________________ Netscape.
