Hello Wrenches
Do any of you stock dry charged lead acid batteries and commission
them as needed? If so, what are the advantages/disadvantages of doing
this aside from the obvious requirements for safe handling
procedures? I'm considering this as an option to reduce shipping cost
on large battery consignments and increase storage time but have no
experience in activating batteries from a dry state. I've read the
Surrette activating instructions and it seems easy enough although
I'm wondering if the freight cost advantage will be offset by the
power requirement of charging the batteries.
