Hello wrenches. Received this yesterday, and wanted you all to have access to the nearly 50 files that were included. I suggest that if you are interested in participating in the future, that you get on John's email list as I somehow have.

The files are here, available by anonymous ftp. Usually your Web browser will handle this just fine.

DRAFT-6 PROPOSALS FOR THE 2011 NEC
5 September 2008

These draft proposals are being circulated to the members of the PV Industry Forum via e-mail. New members are added as they ask to be included from the Solar ABCs web site or by direct contact by e-mail to me.

Draft 6 includes new proposals and revisions to previous proposals.  All Forum members should visit the Solar ABCs Building Electrical Codes Panel web page at least once to read the introductory information.

http://www.SolarABCS.org

The drafts will have three sections in most cases.  They are the proposal, the substantiation, and comments to the Forum for information purposes.    As the drafts evolve, they will be tailored to meet the NFPA/NEC Style Manual requirements.  Near the due date of late October 2008, the drafts will be placed on the electronic forms required by NFPA.
Each new MS Word draft will have changes from the previous drafts noted in red.  I will note the new proposals, the proposals that have minor (editorial, grammatical-ED) changes, or those that have major revisions in the cover e-mail so that you will not have to review every proposal on each draft.  Each proposal will appear as a separate document.

Coordination will be by e-mail to me.
PLEASE DO NOT USE THE REPLY TO ALL Button-THE SPAMBOTS are out there waiting.  I will acknowledge all inputs.  Feel free to use MS Word track changes.  In many cases, your suggestions will be implemented.  If not, I will attempt to explain why in my response to the submitter.  If you still feel strongly about the issue, I will add your comments/suggestions to the next draft.  If we don't reach some sort of agreement, individuals may submit proposals directly to NFPA, although conflicting proposals tend to hinder the code making process and may result in less than desirable code.  Article 690 and 705 will move to Code Making panel 4 for the 2011 NEC cycle.
Please do not forget to register for the 24-25 September 2008 PV Industry Forum/Solar ABCs Building Electrical Codes Panel meeting in Albuquerque, NM. Full day-0800 to 1700 on the 24th,, half day meeting on the 25th.   The meeting will be in Room 1151, International Program Building, Sandia National Labs, 10600 Research Drive, SE, Albuquerque, NM. Registrations to [EMAIL PROTECTED] . PLEASE REVIEW AND COMMENT ON THE LATEST DRAFT ( DRAFT 6) PRIOR TO THE MEETING.
