Thanks. Meanwhile, I got RDKit_2012_03_1 running fine in Postgres 9.0.4 (the OpenSCG version) on an Ubuntu 10.04 build server. I will try to install Postgres 9.1 on that server and see if the error can be reproduced with that setup.
