If it is not the tire blowing off the rim, the consider the bead and the rim tape.
I had a pair of Kojaks whose wire bead apparently included excess lengths of wire only flimsily held in place by the casing. These worked their way loose gradually with obvious consequences for the tubes. Even after I'd cut off the exposed wire and covered the end, more wire would work loose and so on. The NA supplier replaced them. One more sneaky little provoker of flats is shifting rim tape. If the puncture is in the valve side of the tube, consider this one. With poor tape, the pressure as the tube is inflated can push the strip away from a spoke hole letting the tube cut itself on the edge of the well or on exposed spoke. (Years ago, storing my prized Falcon near my bed, I was violently awakened one night from the depths of sleep by a loud explosion, which proved to be a tube bursting from this cause.)
