If you live in thorn country, it's the only way to go. OTOH,  my arms will
no longer have the exercise from the "ride-stop-pump-ride-repeat" method of
progression.

Tangential: I must say that the Lezyne Alloy Drive (is that right? the
fatter one of the short minipumps) is a real trooper. Sure it takes more
cycles to get a big tire to 25 psi, but they are easy strokes. And the hose
lets you pump the tire from above while supporting the bike with your
torso, which sounds very weird but, really, makes it far easier to pump
without finding a support or laying (verb, transitive) the bike on the
ground.
