I messed around with the popcorn popper way, until I set it on fire trying to roast too many continuous batches. My current method is an old wok and large wooden spoon constantly keeping the beans moving. With a little practice, you can get pretty good roasts. You might have a suitable old pan already, no extra equipment needed. Even the worst batches made a better cup than a lot of coffee shops in my area. And it's a fun process to watch and experiment with! And for decaf you're more than likely going to get more dialed in roasts that suite your needs than other roasted coffees. David
