It sounds very nice.

Kickstand: I assume it has a plate? Then for sure a 2-leg stand; there is
one that is advertised to be more stable than the Pletscher, which I found
rather useless with loaded panniers, but I forget who makes it -- it has a
much wider stance.

Phil bb. Amen.

Seatpost: if you are going to spend $100, why not the Nitto S83? It is
Rivendellian, after all. A very charitable donor practically gave one to me
for my Ram build. Best I've used (and I'm comparing it to the older, silver
aluminum Dura Aces on my other Rivs).

SON 28: If you are going SON, why not get the small, light, jewel-like one?
Or perhaps a very svelte, light, and almost jewel-like SP for less than
half the price of a SON?

What is a "Claris" headset? FWIW, my Tange roller ball has 12K miles the
several generations old Ultegra has 9 k miles, and both feel as new.

Water bottle cages: you can buy much more expensive and somewhat prettier
ones, but the King Iris is the no b-s top of the line, and pretty, too. (I
switched to Irises after breaking a couple of the the jewel-like but
delicate Nitto butterfly cages.)

Lights: I have no experience with the Supernova, but the old model Edeluxe
is wonderful, and the new model is said to be brighter and wider. Me, with
my bad night vision, I find the old one fine.

Please post photos as and when ...
