Neighbor Joe, with a loaner Hunqapillar, and I on my Bombadil had a nice
Sunday ride today. We rode on the road up to the 1000' level of Mt Diablo,
and then went down Buckeye Trail, BBQ Terrace, Dusty Road, and eventually
out Mt Diablo-Briones fire road. Some sweet single track gave Joe a good
impression of the loaner Hunq. We crossed paths with a high school mtn bike
team (all on full squish). They commented on our bikes being "rad". We also
crested a hill and sitting at the side of the road catching his breath was
another full-squish mtn biker. His remark was "I was just feeling good
about climbing that hill on my high tech bike and then you guys come up on
those." He asked what the bikes were, and Joe told him about Riv. I'm not
gloating or anything, I just find it amusing when people are amazed seeing
these bikes out in the boonies.

A few pics, but I'm not Manny:
