Mr. Moore,

I am lucky. My paradigm regarding Los Angeles hasn't always included that
short phrase. I was born here but spent a significant portion of my life
North of San Francisco. I used to say I'd never live in L.A. add some
expletives and that's about where I stood on the notion of living in this
metropolis.

However, flash to 2002 and I found gainful employment in the city of
angel's...then I moved to Sunland and have started exploring and found a
paradise for cycling.

I think this is what is so fantastic about bicycles they help one to
explore their surroundings with out a bubble. To experience life with
nature at a reasonable pace.

Is LANF the Los Alamos National Forest? If so I've never spent any time in
the Los Alamos National Forest. I have spent time in the Carson NF by foot
in Northern New Mexico, but the Albuquerque region is unexplored by me. Is
that the Sandia Mountain range to the East? That looks promising? Tell me
more about the NF's in the area. I think we need to see some S240 pictures
real soon from you Sir. So whet my appetite for a NM adventure!

Side note, Northern New Mexico is on my list of possible retirement
locations...way back when I visited, the wide open sky has never left me
and it still invades my dreams.
