Prompted by an imminent remodel project, I'm finally cleaning out my garage.

*2005 60 cm 650B Saluki (SN#SA0017). Fully built (by Rivendell), including
a bunch of extra stuff listed below. I'd like to sell the whole collection
of things for $2000. * I live in Palo Alto and have a very strong
preference to sell it locally so I don't run the risk of shipping something
that I've misrepresented.

I rode it for 18 months (~4000 miles), and then switched to a new custom
Sycip Rohloff bike which I've ridden exclusively since then. I have made
the transition to internal gearing and will not return to the Saluki, so it
has been unused in my garage since January 2007.

The build details are shown in the Rivendell receipt, which I've scanned
and *posted with photos of the
bike*<http://amyl.smugmug.com/Other/FS-Saluki>(taken when bike was new). All
of the photos of the bike were taken when
the bike was new. The pedals and saddle shown in the photos are not
included.

Color is Agapanthus purple. IMHO it is a very beautiful albeit very
non-traditional color. There are a couple obscure nicks in the paint,
which I treated with clear nail polish as soon as they occurred. Otherwise
the frame is in excellent condition.

To the best of my knowledge, everything shown in the receipt is on the
bike, EXCEPT:

   1. I'm keeping the Nitto Front Rack.
   2. The stem on the bike is a Nitto Technomic 5 cm stem.
   3. The bars on the bike are Nitto Noodle 46 cm (instead of the 44 cm on
   the receipt)
   4. The brake levers on the bike are Cane Creek SCR-5C
   5. I'm fairly sure that I've replaced the cassette, and it is probably
still a 11-34, but no promises

In addition to everything on the bike, the following miscellaneous stuff is
included in the sale:

   1. [In addition to the bars&brake levers on the bike] Nitto 44 cm Noodle
bars with Shimano Tiagra Aero Brake Levers and Tektro Interrupter Brake
Levers. (photo on my Smugmug page)
   2. [In addition to the Nitto 5 cm stem on the bike] Nitto 7 cm stem
   (photo on my Smugmug page)
   3. Six spare spokes for rear wheel
   4. Qty 4 Rainbow Nifty Swifty 584x32.8 650B tires. Two have ~3500
miles. Two are, I believe, brand new or nearly so.
   5. [In addition to the nearly unused Panaracer Col de Vie tires on the
bike] ) One extra unused Col de Vie.
   6. 4 extra tubes
   7. Arkel Handlebar Map Case, new (photo on my Smugmug page)
   8. Cinelli Cork Tape, natural color, in box.
   9. Bertoud Saddlebag, never used. Looks like the left one in this WallBike
   image <http://www.wallbike.com/berthoud/saddlebags/berthoud-saddlebag-0> ---
but in the color of the right one in that image, and without the
quick-mount hardware. (photo on my Smugmug page)
   10. Vintage Bicycle Quarterly. Volume 3, #4. Volume 4, -#1&2&4.
    Volume 5, #2&3
   11. Rivendell Reader. Issues 27, 29, 30, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 38.
   12. RivBike Catalog #19

I'll do my best to answer questions. I haven't paid any attention to it
since 2007, so I may be a bit rusty (but the Saluki is not rusty).

Thanks, AmyL, Palo Alto
