Regarding mortality and passing: In a buddhist way of thinking, there's
always the concept of impermanence, and of attachment, the desire for
permanence and the suffering that occurs when things pass, people pass,
friends and beloved animals pass.

One natural reaction is to grab tighter, to become more afraid of loss, but
I can see from your post that you've come to live in the moment and look
with clear eyes and an open heart.

And that makes me glad.
