Hugh:

Back at you - Happy (Belated) New Year wishes.

You nailed it - the reason I like the detachable lowrider racks is that they
look great with or without the lowriders, and they're REALLY functional in
keeping the weight low when they're on.

Did you get your Atlantis built yet? Pics?

Hi Tom,

Well I've been showing my Wife your shop...she say's so this is what you want
the garage to look like :-) Is that too much to ask for ;-) She's game and
understands.

The only image other than yours I've seen with the Campee racks and loaded is
from Lovelybike. I like how the low rider mounts keep the load low for added
stability plus that they're removable. It doesn't seem they're that popular
among "Riv folk so less feed back. I just dig the way they look with and
without low rider attachments. Thanks for the reply and Happy New Year.

I just recently mounted a pair of those Campee racks on a 1984 Stumpjumper

Haven't ridden with yet. On the left in this shot,

Hi I'm Hugh and I have a luggage rack problem... what about
this<http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6127/6025264773_3bab454e0d.jpg> Nitto
Campee rack with low rider detachable hoops does anyone have experience with
this rack? I dig the low rider hoops and that they're removable. Though the top
platform seems a bit small yet in this image
here<http://www.icycletowork.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/9afad__6017230335_8457c5f48e.jpg>
they have a Sackville saddle bag mounted which IMHO looks awesome.

Doug I do like the look of that rack however it seems awful similar to my
Tubus Cosmo rack. I've noticed that even with the lower mount on the Cosmo with
a load on the platform it still is a hassle to mount and dismount panniers
especially with a good load on top.

In today's BLUG post, check out the rear rack on the 51 cm Sam in the last
photo. It's got the lower pannier mounting bars that allow easy access to the
top platform with panniers attached. It looks like the front hoop is either
really low or gone, so there is more useful area on the platform. This really
looks like a good evolution. If the lower mounts are nice long tabs that can
be cut to fit, one of these may wind up on the mini-Lantis.

This is the rack that's been mentioned somewhere (here? BLUG?) as one of Mark's
projects. I recall something about Rivendell wanting to replace the 2
different sizes of Big Back Rack with a single version, which makes a lot of
sense. This looks like it. ETA from Nitto is "soon".
