Hi Kieran, Good luck with the travels - I've attached some links I've seen which should give you a steer (DC Rainmaker is quite the traveller, as well as tech guy, an interesting blog to follow).
Personally, I've only "travelled with bike" once (Sydney to SF) and had no issues - the bike travelled fine in a large soft bag, and I was not charged any extra surcharge - I did have to check it separately, at the "oversize" check-in, and collect it at the oversize luggage area where it came out unscathed amidst surfboards and golf-bags. It seems from my reading that for North America domestic travel that "stealth" and protection from ham-fisted baggage handlers are the top two priorities. http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2011/02/how-i-travel-with-my-bike.html http://www.bicycling.com/bikes-gear/bikes-and-gear-features/fly-your-bike?page=0,1 http://blogs.bicycling.com/blogs/ramblingman/2011/04/14/setting-myself-free-or-how-to-fly-with-a-bike/ Cheerio Jim -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
