Ok, despite the colors of the wrong SEC team, lol, I really like the color on this; and I like the additional chainstay length. And, there's no mixte in the stable, which I'd considered for awhile... Overall, I like it. But... If it's the same clearances as the Betty/Gomez, max listed tire-size is 40mm (maybe a 42mm); that'd take a Hetre or a Rumpkin, but not the 650b Big Ben or a Quasi... oh, and on a Sam I could do a 55, but for the Bettys I'm a bit past the 55 size-wise, I'd probably need to go to the 60, which switches from 650b to 700c; in 700c, the Little Ben would fit, but, that'd fit my canti-Rom anyway... What I'd be hoping for, is a 'more economical' 650 mountain bike, mixte or otherwise... I'd be willing to undersize a bike a bit (like running a 58 Hilsen to get a 650b instead of 59 700c); but switching to a Hilsen isn't going to be more economical than the Betty/Sam either.... (Homers are designed for up through a 40, too; I think you can squeeze bigger, but I don't 'know' that...) Cool bike, I like it, but, I don't think it's one that quite gets me anywhere I'm not already, or want to head... Maybe at some point it'd make sense for me. I do like it.
