Deacon, A while back I was hunting for a pair of wool knickers...and as others have mentioned in past posts others purchase wool slacks and modify them to work on the bicycle, one issue IIRC was the seat area needing more strength or heavy weight material. Any way I found and purchased these Ibex<http://www.performancebike.com/bikes/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&langId=-1&catalogId=10551&productId=1110023&utm_source=Google_Product_Search&utm_medium=pla&utm_campaign=datafeed&cm_mmc=Google_Product_Search-_-PLA-_-Datafeed-_-Ibex%20Commuter%20Knickers%20Grey%20Xlarge&CAWELAID=869368095&catargetid=1572650445&cadevice=c&cagpspn=pla> wool knickers. Incidentally, they no longer make them but Performance has them in the larger sizes which might work for you. I think they're very well made. The only thing I'd like to see different would be rather than the belt loops to just have a draw cord to loosen or tighten as needed. Though the loops and a belt work and look okay too.
