True, and my admonition that the '92 XO-3 is "lowest-end" is not the same as "low-end". Bridgestone didn't do cheap, lousy bikes. Some were just less expensive, a bit heavier, and lugless. My '93 XO-5 (same bike, new number) was a great city bike which I also took to the singletrack (with the stock smooth tires) at China Camp in Marin County. It was a 29er before 29er was cool!
