Joshua Tree is really a spectacular place and the weather should be warm enough at night (I think). If you can haul water, the campground without facilities is quiet in my experience. Mostly rock climbers. It is a place that is good for the soul. I camped there twice when I lived in SF; once in November for Thanksgiving. Friends had a 1 year old and it worked for a few days. Ranks tops on the list of memorable thanksgivings. Night lows then were low 30's, maybe high 20's. Check it out.
