I just bought a used Singular Gryphon frameset to upgrade my Gravel Roadster (I
may have stolen that term from you?). The seller has an XL Niner Sir9 frame for
a good price, too (~$350). Frankly, I'm going to use it as "29er road bike" for
the nonce, but I'm dying to get a second wheelset and giant Ardent tires. The
thing that swayed me from the Niner was that the Gryphon is designed for drop
bars, and a rigid fork. The Carve looks cool, but the downtube and fork length
are built for the buyer to give up on the rigid front end buy a suspension
fork.
Tomorrow I'm dropping the Gryphon off at the bike shop for a headset. I'm
debating whether moving the headset off the old frame is a false economy, or a
no-brainer.

i will have a 43cm Fisher 29er frame and Kona P2 fork for sale soon.
