Those are pure friction, right? If so, then maybe: some people are able
to successfully friction shift 10 speed drivetrains. Many others find
the spacing too close and have difficulty accurately friction shifting
high sprocket-count Hyperglide-type cassettes. For me, the line seems to
be between 7 and 8: friction shifting 7 works fine, but with 8 I get a
lot of ghost shifts. And I'm no novice with friction shifting, having
used such systems for more than 50 years.

I believe Apex derailleurs are compatible with Shimano and Microshift
shifters, right? If so, the combination of Microshift thumb
shifters or
Shimano bar ends & Paul Thumbies ought to do it.
