Cribbing a sheet from Ocean Air Cycles, I decided that if I loved sub
24-hour overnight trips so much, one way to fit more things like that in my
schedule is to fit smaller rides in (like mortar between logs in a cabin
or, more appropriately, cedar shims in a door frame).
So, morning, or sunrise coffee.

I left home around 6:30am and rode roughly along this route:

At least up to mile 3.2. It's a pretty straight climb, but not too long.

I reached the viewpoint, in time for sunrise, and enjoyed the view while
boiling water and grinding coffee:

It was majestic, and very peaceful. And the coffee was strong:

Afterwards I had a fun ride down the hill, where I ate a delicious salmon
scramble.

So the point being, I loved how a s24o allowed me to fit camping trips
where there was "dead time". Now, I'm horrible at getting up in the
morning, and meditating, but I love coffee, and riding bikes, and cooking
outside, so this was the perfect motivator.

I think I'm gonna do this on a regular basis. Sunrise Coffee & Tea Club.
It's social, but not really social. You're all invited.
