Life gave us lemons, so we made lemon bars and sold them for filthy lucre. Oliver showed up, and we had a blast running through SE Portland's "unimproved" streets before hitting the Springwater Corridor Trail, and climbing up Powell Butte. The remnants of some tropical cyclone were running through town, and the rain was coming sideways. Bikes were ridden, bikes where pushed up muddy hills. Cyclists fell on wet grass. Gravel was crunched, descents where fast, and bells were rang.
And we made it to the top. http://www.flickr.com/photos/lumachrome/9993804533/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/ollieandema/sets/72157635990593055/ Oliver had to make it home at 1, but Andy wanted to go for a ride, so started bump ride two: a ramble around what can only be described as "what could be a pretty cool BMX track." We pushed bikes up things, over concrete blocks, up on top of very tall piles of dirt, and down them at speed. http://www.flickr.com/photos/lumachrome/9993676044/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/lumachrome/9993818223/ The third bump will have to wait for another time.
