oak caterpillars - we had them so bad about 8 years ago the UPS coming down 
the street looked like the Aadams Family.  Rain has been almost forgotten 
here over the 4 year drought, though we've had monsoons also that may break 
it.  Light rain is rare here, but earlier in the year we had a morning of 
light rain (at the tail of a monsoon) and it made for a great ride.
