Andy,
Thank you for story and the pics. My kids are grown with their own 
families, but I can still remember going out on rides with them. I had a 
mountain bike with a child's seat in the back for my 3 yo daughter and my 
son had his BMX bike. In Lodi we have a great offroad trail along the 
Mokelumne River( now closed to bikes). We would go riding for hours 
exploring, seeing all kinds of creatures and having a great time. Enjoy 
your family.
