You're right, Mike, using the LCG is one of the secrets to climbing. The 
other, as Hugh mentioned is standing and using body weight, letting the 
bike move beneith you. What I do is stand till I can't, LCG (lowest common 
gear) till I can't, then use climbing rope. Haven't gotten to the climbing 
rope yet. Grin.
