I find that there are two adjustments I need to make to Brooks saddles when I first put them on a bike. Everyone knows about the up and down tilt that depends on how high your hands are in relation to the saddle. Equally important to me is the slight side to side adjustment of the nose which can depend on both my slightly assymetric hindquarters, as well as the break in of the leather. I usually tweek the saddle position as often as every 100 miles for the first 500.
Another trick is to add Proofhide (or LL Bean waterproof boot wax which is what I use) on the side that is a bit stiff. There is variability in the hide around the saddle, and softening the harder spots can help.
