My first thought looking at the silicone rescue tape was "Bar Tape!" I got halfway through comparing roll lengths to cotton tape, and then got distracted by work. Pff.
On the duct-tape-to-bike subject, I got rescued the other day by a guy with a tube and inflator kit duct taped to the seat post of his carbon bike.
