Neither Black nor Army green are in my short list of wants. If you already told Grant way back when Army green and Grant already predicted that you would have second-thoughts, then there is always the option of complete surrender and let Grant choose. His choices seem to have that strange ability to grow on you.
Anyway, black seems like such a cop-out, but I admit it that black bikes can look unbelievably sharp, sometimes. There was a pdf flyer that Riv published of a black Roadeo that was a stunner. Tuxedo Yves also is a really classy laddie. I had an 80's Miyata (that I just shipped to its new owner) that is black with a Silver headtube and I think that is a very smart look, too. I confess that army green doesn't thrill me either. Appaloosa keeps me thinking of horses, and there are some really nice translucentish browns that horses can affect. A coppery, horsey brown with a cream headtube and some tastefully selected leather bits to butch it up might be fun.
