Hugh, Funny - I spent the summer of 1990 in Delta Junction, AK, working on an archaeological dig. Maybe we crossed paths that summer. Alaska will never leave my consciousness, either. The place really makes an impression.
I remember seeing a guy that summer travelling through on a bicycle bound for Massachusetts. At the time, I thought that was nuts!
