You can find great ice cream after coming off of Ebbets prior to climbing Carson. Knowing this I'm no longer tempted to shoot for the five passes. The draw is just too strong.
These days the most climbing I'm doing is up Monetbello road to Black Mtn in the Santa Cruz montains.
