I've seen several complaints again recently about Synergy's cracking. I had mine built about 2 years ago and they are fine. Anybody know if the issue was particular to US or Aussie rims, or just luck of the draw? I decided to spring for hand built wheels (36 hole Synergies, XT hubs, 14/15 guage spokes) to avoid having to mess with them. I just checked mine and they are a just little worn, nothing you wouldn't expect after 2 years of daily use. Living over here, far away from reasonably prices shipping, I do get nervous when I read stories about people having to replace them, sometimes more than once.
