I just spoke with someone at the El Chorro Campground. They will take reservations for the weekend of July 27. I'll make the reservation BUT need to know headcount and arrival & departure dates. Does anyone plan to arrive on Friday or earlier, or to stay Sunday or later? My schedule is flexible and I intend to spend more than one night there but would like to coordinate with others if there's interest in a longer stay. I told the guy we would be around a half dozen people, each with small 1 person backpacking tent (purposely keeping it a bit vague) and the response was "no problem". Sites are available on first come first served without reservation but I think having at least one site reserved would be a good thing.
