I live local and have been attempting to post but posts are automatically 
deleting. Jim is trying to help but nothing obvious is going on. So. This 
is a test post.

Mike there aren't any stores very close to any of the discussed camp sites. 
El Chorro stores are about 4 miles next to CalPoly and the intersection of 
Foothill and Santa Rosa (Highway 1). Albertsons grocery, Starbucks, Panda 
Express, Pita Pit, Carl's, BBQ etc. I should note there's one small hill 
that takes about 2 minutes at 24t + 32t gearing between the campsite and 
town.

I think your biggest concern will be nailing down a reservation in the 
popular tourist area.
