A very underrated tire is the Performance Bike shop's Forte Metro 700x35 with or w/o kevlar strips. Yeah, cheap store brand tires right ? HaH ! Think again !! There's real psychological game that one often assumes a "more expensive" tire MUST be better than one that is "cheap/-er". Here's a real good example. Performance sells a tire called the Gotham for $16. It's made by Panaracer and sold with their brand name as the Crosstown, sells for $40 ! Some people will buy the same thing with a higher price tag just because it's more expensive ...lol. Hah ! So while the Metro tires may be "only" $15 , don't let that fool you, they grip well, have low rolling resistance and are supple feeling to me. Maybe they are not a Grand Bois or whatever .... maybe they are ... lol. Take the visual perception off a tire and a blind comparison test would be very interesting indeed .
