There are tons of options for riding in Gifford as long as all the passes are clear. Babyshoe Pass is a fun climb but can the descent can be tricky as the road gets pretty washboarded. I've ridden it a few times on a loaded bike and have always hoped to ride it one day unloaded. Sadly this won't be the time as I don't see being able to do this trip. : ( The campgrounds at Lake Takhlakh which are just north of Babyshoe Pass offer a stunning view of Mt Adams when it's clear. I'm sure you could find a place to park the cars in Packwood. Or Randle for that matter.
