Hi Mike. It was a fun trip. You know, I first started thinking about
camping by bike when i came across this 2006 article in the San Francisco
Chronicle:

http://www.sfgate.com/sports/article/Bike-camping-isn-t-as-hard-as-it-looks-Bay-Area-2515742.php

Funny enough, there is a reference to Rivendell in there, plus some quotes
from Grant. It was the first I had heard of Riv and I scoured the site
regarding bike camping, and that's how I was introduced to the idea of the
S24O. I still didn't do it as my bikes were beat-up old single-speeds, and
I had no company. A friend on a car-camping trip overheard me talking about
it, and it turns out he had been thinking about it for a while, too, and he
had a garage full of older UJB-type bikes ready for retrofitting.

Anyway, now he owns a Bleriot and I own a Quickbeam, and he and I have gone
on many S24Os together. Now that I have a two-and-a-quarter year old son at
home, I'm planning on amending the S24O to an S20O format. ;)

Best regards,
Lee
