Hi all, Am contemplating a short 3-ish day tour with help from Amtrak as the first leg.
>From Oakland, I can get to Red Bluff, WIllits, or Auburn with ease. Red Bluff is compelling because it's the furthest away and because I've never really ridden up there. But it's also 250 or so miles back to Oakland (Willits or Auburn are more like 160). Hoping someone on the list has insight on suggested or to-be avoided routes from any of the 3 above. (I know Eric in Davis has ridden extensively in the Central Valley, and I know Mr. Bike Noir has done some trips up there, but not calling you folks out in particular, I just can't find your routes online easily.)
