I have the Thule Criterium rack and have used it with a few different Rivs. My wife's Betty has Longboard fenders so this type of rack was a necessity. The rack works great. Very secure. I keep a shop rag in the car to wrap under the shifter cables to avoid paint scratches around the clamp.
The only issue is with water bottle cages. With my Ram the clamp wanted to be right in the middle of the Nitto water bottle cage on the DT so I took off the cage. Not a big deal. I am in the Bay Area if you want to check out the rack.
