Yeah, its a pretty gruff group in general but I don't think they bill themselves as otherwise. There are alot of comments about how they got a Raleigh Competition for $50 which is every bit as good as a Rambouillet., but opinions are like, well never mind. A lot of them do have good knowledge on older bikes and their intricacies, you just have to get through the attitude. It cant be that bad though, the late great Sheldon Brown used to post there often.
