That is a beautiful area where you live, but I am sure evidence of 
clear-cutting is depressing to see. Your ride reports are excellent...
 
What tires were you fellows using?

My  single-speed adventures are a bit more urban and somewhat shorter in 
nature.  I am running my old PX-10 with 700 X 35C Paselas (more like 33.3) 
but I can't have the fat tires and fenders due to tight clearances; esp. 
with the not OEM Tange (I think) fork. For bars and stem I'm using Nitto 
deluxe with my beloved Moustache bars...I can do this with the 
aforementioned fork...the stock fork is stripped, which, all in all , is 
not a tragedy
