I had the pleasure of knowing Sean before he was a part time Rivendell
worker just about a year ago. I remember seeing him at the shop as he
started to build his Hillborne. I even got to snag a picture of him when he
finally built it up.

We got to talking and we finally went on a ride somewhere in the Berkeley
hills. Since then we have gotten on plenty of rides and have gotten lost
plenty of times.
There's a lot of nice things I can say about Sean but it would start
getting a redundant. Let's keep it short and sweet and say he's a blast to
have as a friend. A pretty interesting subject for photos.

His birthday ride was great. Usually four of us. Sean, Will, Tom and me but
got a cool surprise from Keven who was able to make it out with the
Appaloosa. Sean is apparently the Breaker of Bikes and had a huge
mechanical problem that would have ended the ride if it wasn't for Keven
who was nice enough to offer the Appaloosa for Sean to finish the ride as
he got a ride back to the city. (Huge bummer not be able to ride with
Keven.) Our five turned to four as we continued. We did a short but sweet
loop around the Marin Headlands. Good amount of riding on great terrain
with great group of people. Thanks Sean for being born and having a ride to
celebrate your birth.

Pictures prove that birthday rides are always good ideas.
