Thanks! I have not yet made peace with the yellow, but that's the fickle 
artist in me that I generally try to ignore.

I have not contacted Rivendell to check the date, but AFAIK yes it's an 
early Waterford model. I have my suspicions it was built for/by Richard 
Schwinn. It has a hand done under the clear coat "Richard S." on the top 
tube. As much as I dislike the color, I would feel guilty having it 
repainted from a provenance standpoint....unless it's Richard Smith.
