The first quarter mile is the worst part of that ride! Well, except for crossing the bridge from the Maryhill area to Biggs, OR.
Looks like you found some nice places to ride, but when you go back, do consider riding Dalles Mountain Road, and Old Moody Road. They're fantastic dirt climbs.
