I've never had any experience with them but have done this:

Wisconsin has a wide variety of terrain. If your in decent shape 50 to
60 miles a day is doable without feeling trashed at the end of the
day. Hell I ride that in the summer and I'm getting older,fatter and
slower every year. Most of these organized rides take place on
secondary roads which for the most part are excellent with a low
traffic count. The secondary road system is quite extensive and well
maintained. As it should be given the amount of taxes we pay. Sorry
had to rant a little. The small amount of time you'd spend on main
highways should be of no concern. The sholders on most are wide and
for the most part drivers tend to give cyclists a fairly wide berth.
People are friendly, beer is cold and the food is good.
