I went by Riv HQ on my birthday (the 8th) to buy some stuff with my B-Day discount. I got to see the Hub Area Rack on the floor demo Hillborne, and got to talking with Mark about it. Luckily enough, I ended up leaving with one of the prototypes to play with. I can't say anything about the load carrying capability of the Hub Area Rack. As many of you know, I'm a compulsive bike mechanic first and an actual user and rider second.
Anyhow, my DIY project was the massive integration of a Nitto Mini Front Rack + a Nitto Platrack + a Hub Area Rack. The result is Franken-Rack.
