My buddy found a Dahon Tournado 700c x 35 that had been special ordered, didn't fit the buyer, and languished in a LBS for more than a year. They put a close-out price of $2000 on it. It continued to languish. He went in last week and asked if they would improve the price. They offered it for $1800 - he took it and paid $30 for a club membership which was an additional 10% off, so he carried it out for $1600 and change. That's basically the cost of the components in a build kit, so he effectively got the folding frame for free.
