Since I'm one w/ a 650b Ram too, guess I should pipe up.... It wasn't that I was unhappy w/ the Ram before. I started out w/ 32 Paselas on the 600c wheels, and they were fine. But, once I came around to fendering, it was tight, and I took it down to 28's. (Well, Ruffy Tuffys, maybe 27ish). It's the Bomba's fault. I like the 650b on it. And, I'm not little; I think it makes sense for me to be on fatter tires. SO.... I tried my Bomba wheels on my Ram, and saw that I could run a fatter tire under fenders.... It wasn't so much that I wanted to change the handling or anything, and, I can't say that it has changed a lot. It was stable before - in no way could it be considered unstable to begin with - but somehow, it feels more stable. It's more comfortable. It wasn't uncomfortable, but, it's more 'plush' now. Maybe not 'plush', but, something... I've only had a half-dozen 20-mi rides on it now, and a dozen rides half that distance (weather, time, light, etc., have been limiting). Maybe, maybe this is the thing about having Hetres on the Ram: it's making me 'want' to go for longer rides than I have time to do.
