I run a triple crankset with two rings. What was a 52/42/30, I converted to a chainguard/42/30. Later I swapped the 30 for a 26. I run it on my commuter, a 650B conversion:

I'd recommend you consider the Riv crankset that comes fully set up for you: http://www.rivbike.com/product-p/cr7.htm With an 11-32 in back, you would have absolutely every you could possibly need on a Hilsen, in my opinion.
