That's what I want. Thanks. Interesting to see that 110 is surviving in cyclocross. Will try the 38/24 out for a while first before sending, but that's the one I want.
A listmember has generously offered 5 9-sp spacers; still nead 11 more .... One defect (every gearing arrangement is a compromise) of what is basically a 1X8 is that, in order to get the cruising cogs in the middle of the cassette, I have to space them out from the end with more small cogs than I really need for real world riding -- eg, to get the 15 and 16 in the #4 and #5 places, I must use a 12, 13 and 14 in the first places, and I don't really need the 12. Since I like close gaps between say 60" and 75" -- 80", this means that everything smaller than the 65" has to be distributed over just three cogs, this with the 8 speed cassette. One more would break this 25" gap down very nicely, instead of 18-21-26, say 18-20-24-30. (Wake up, screed* is finished.) * http://www.thefreedictionary.com/screed, meaning one.
